About Us

At Peaceful Funeral Services, we’re dedicated to providing heartfelt, dignified care that truly honours each life. With years of experience, our family walks beside yours, offering guidance, understanding, and support through every step of the farewell process.

We believe every service should be personal and meaningful, reflecting the unique story and legacy of your loved one. Our promise is to bring comfort, respect, and genuine care when you need it most.

Understanding the Process

We’re here when you’re ready

Losing someone you love takes time to process. There’s no need to rush, no matter the hour or day. When you’re ready, simply give us a call. Once your loved one has been brought into our care, we’ll let you know they’ve arrived safely and arrange a convenient time to meet. We’ll make a cup of tea or coffee, sit down together, and begin planning a farewell that feels right for your family.

STEP 1

Paperwork

The first document needed is the Medical Cause of Death Certificate, completed by a doctor. Please note that some doctors may charge a small fee for cremation paperwork. We’ll also provide the forms required to proceed with booking the burial or cremation. If the coroner is involved, service dates can sometimes be delayed, but we’ll continue making arrangements so everything is ready once approval is given.

STEP 2

Dressing, Viewing & Embalming

If you’d like to help dress your loved one or arrange a viewing, we welcome that involvement at no extra cost during business hours. Embalming isn’t always necessary, but we can arrange it when a loved one is returning home before the service or for repatriation overseas.

STEP 3

Funeral or Memorial Service

The service is held at your chosen location, a chapel, church, cemetery, or special place that holds meaning. It’s a time for family and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life well lived through words, music, and heartfelt tributes.

STEP 4

Death Certificate & Ashes Collection

With your permission, we’ll collect the ashes once they’re ready, usually within a few days. The Death Certificate is lodged on the day of the cremation or burial, and we monitor its progress daily to ensure it’s received as soon as possible. Once both the ashes and certificate are ready for collection, we’ll contact you straight away. As a final gesture of respect, your loved one’s name is then added to our Memorial Wall as a lasting tribute to their memory.
